Welcome
St. Patrick’s Missionary Society was founded on St. Patrick’s Day 1932 and for more than eighty years has continued the work of spreading the Gospel, following the words of Jesus:
Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations; baptise them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And look I am with you always; yes, to the end of time. (Matt 28:19-20)
St. Patrick’s Missionary Society first came to the US in 1954 for the purpose of mission awareness and promotion of our missionary work in Africa, South America and the Caribbean. Our first house was located in Camden Town, New Jersey. We have since relocated to Chicago where we have been since 1968. While our main focus continues to be the promotion of our missionary work we also have a long tradition of service to the wider Irish community here in Chicago.
